I've grown up there so it is so much fun to go every year, but the past two years going as a counselor have been incredible
Our speaker was Steve Solomon, who is actually from ventura and was the pastor at The Point. He was actually really challenging and energetic. Campaign was our band... what an awesome way to worship! :)
I was able to have some incredible talks with our students! There are a few girls that I've been talking with and God really showed them some amazing stuff this week and it was cool to go along side them and help them out. I keep telling these girls that I know that God has placed me in their lives and in this position because of everything I've gone through. God has, full circle, shown me grace and love through my mistakes and sins and it is awesome being able to share that with them and in turn watch them come out of mistakes and ease them through less pain.
We also had a mouse! He would show up every night during our cabin talks... we named him Vontrap. :) It was funny to watch the girls scream like crazy the first night, to just saying hello to him the last few nights! :) He had a hole to his home under Robin's bed, under another bed and in a wall... we tried to cover up those entries, but he always found a way around them! haha. So that was fun!
We all really had a great time! I'm loving what God showed me about his grace and his challenges to get in the word constantly and really search for him as well as just to love people.
