Cars, Changes, and Moves

Well, It's been an interesting few days!
On thursday morning.. after an accidental late start (sorry again Vicki) I headed down to San Diego in my little bug to help Robin move in. The drive was a breeze hardly any traffic at all. I exit on Sea World Drive and all of a sudden my car dies... no big deal I can just start it again... WRONG! My car has completely died! Praise the Lord I made it all the way to SD, and PRAISE JESUS that my dad was working only 15 minutes away from where I was. He was able to come by and check it out... Just what I had thought something with my fuel filter. My bug sat in a left turn lane (not in the way) and I sat on the side of the road (on a ant hill.... yeah... ) for an hour and half while daddy went to get a gas can. We added the extra gas and it started right up! YAY! I was able to get to Robin's house and help her put away the little nicks and nacks.. I missed all the heavy hard work.. whoops? jk WHOOPS! but it was good to hang out with her and help her find ways to organize her dresser-less closet and categorize her kitchen pantry, as well as adding some happy flowers to the house. Its a great house and a great apartment. I can tell that she, Becky and Lindsay are going to have so much fun, and I can't wait to visit again. We just hung out that night. I also discovered the most important book of all times! (Cristin do you have it!?) get it!!! "Real Simple Solutions" The next morning Robin and I got to hang out at HER place, get starbucks, and a basil plant. We joined up with Lindsay and made some pesto sandwiches, and just hung out. It was super good to spend time with them, I will be visiting very soon again. School starts for them on Monday!
At 5:45 I head up to see Aaron! I get off the freeway, and my car dies on the off-ramp... perfect. There is a Target parking lot that I'm able to roll into (good positioning Target. Thanks) I park and call Aaron... "Can you come get me, pretty please?" I call my dad and decide that it's best to leave it till the morning when its light and I can fix the car and drive home... I call Becky frantically (that girl has become my personal life saver) "Becks, do you have any family or know ANYone in Laguna that I could possibly stay with" I end up getting a hold of her step-brother's wife, Allison, and they offer for me to stay with them. Wow, talk about connections. After getting dinner with Aaron and saying hello to Brewster (his cat) I drive over to their house.
OK, let me just tell you how incredibly amazing the house is... wow! Its the oldest part of orange county and is all vintage and absolutely perfect. There is a porch and the neighbor hood is this cute little community where they have mom and pop stores in the day time, and everyone has dinners in their backyard together and all sit on the porch in the evening... yeah! Dream house!! Allison said that there is one house that the neighbor is not ideal and will work on getting me in there. :) I slept on the couch, and in the morning was able to join them for breakfast with friends at their house. Seriously the nicest people ever! I've already planned to come over and hang out with Allison when I visit Aaron next.
My brother was on his way down to help my dad with work in SD, so he got recruited to pick me up and help me fix my car. I get to the car at around 12pm and it literally starts right up.... Jake and I cleaned out the fuel filter a little bit, but weren't able to get to the fuel pump to do any more work. But it was working perfectly fine. Aaron had just gotten done surfing at this time so I went over to his house and we swam in the pool for an hour and I got on my merry (not so merry should I say) way.
As soon as I hit traffic.. about 20 min after driving.... my car dies AGAIN! "Are you kidding me?!" you may ask.. and I would say "I KNOW!?!?!?!?!?" So I push the car through 2 lane of the freeway, by this time not very much traffic. But my car wont start again. I try and shake out the filter again.... no luck. I call my dad and get the AAA number. Hang up and pray FERVENTLY, and praise God alone, it starts!!! So I drive the whole way home.... through traffic and down grades without touching the brake peddle, feathering the clutch and using my emergency brake, so I can keep the gas flowing constantly. I made it home though safely!
God was very good to me in keeping me safe. So I'll just have to get a tune up before driving my car again, but honestly it's not that bad at all! :)
Thank you for those who prayed for me this weekend, it saved everything!

ALSO, due to a friend's wedding the 5k run is going to be changed dates. I think we are going to shoot for the 10th of October which is the Bob Bendetto run... Look it up on active.com, but i will be keeping all up to date with the information.
Along with that, please be in prayer that I will be able to continue to do this. I've had migranes and other physical problems the last two weeks that have prevented me from training and running.

I smell like pool, so I'm going to go take a shower. Thanks for prayers!
