Refining: the process of a purification...

ps 61:1-4 "The spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor... to comfort those who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated..."

lam 3:22-23 "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning..."

2 cor 4:16-18 "Therefore we do not loose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

jame 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials... the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
