Ok. so I made this pie because we have an ABUNDANCE of plums from our tree... I went sans-crumb-topping.... bad choice on my part, as it was quite tart. So yeah.... make the topping or add at least a cup more sugar to each piece of pie.
(and come by my house if you want some plums!)
