Happy Wednesday Night.
Welp this week has been interesting already as always!
I got to go home this weekend! It was so great! I drove to Biola on Friday morning and hugged Kelly Hughes for about 20 minutes before I met up with Rachel to carpool to Ventura. We had a great drive home; it felt weird though! I haven't gone home since I moved to SD in August. But it felt good. I then proceeded to spend my Friday afternoon at the doctor. I happen to really like my doctor so It wasn't tooooo bad, but a little frustrating none the less. It's hard to go to the doctor knowing that I'm not really going to get any new answers to this silly body of mine. I did some more lab work, and some more xrays for my rib. But I have fibromyalgia and pain will come and go with each day. So I don't know. I guess I'll keep trying to figure out what to do with myself and I'll go to other doctors or something... I'm just learning how to "choose joy" all over again, which is great.
There's rats at Daniel's house. Last night at about 12:30am, you would have found me on the kitchen table with Kristina while Andrew, Madison, Evan, Jack and Daniel are literally hunting down rodents. Daniel is on the ground stomach down with the flashlight, Evan is moving the curtains while standing on a couch, and Madison has an airsoft gun shooting this lil thing. (He nailed it in the head... but didn't kill it). SO the rat runs through the house after being shot and there is yelling and shoes being thrown at it and the big ol rat manages to scurry into a hole in the kitchen before he is killed. Quite the disapointment. The traps were reloaded (as well as the gun) and everyone took places waiting for the pest to leave his hiding... but don't worry about 10 minutes later a friend of his came out from another hole in the living room just in time for Andrew to bash it to death with a flashlight. (I didn't look) There have been three kills, one failed kill (see the yucky trap for proof), and one accidental death of lil mousy who fell into a trashcan and couldn't get out. The exterminator has been called as there are freaking rats and mice living all over this house. Gross. But it made for an eventful night.
To go along with the excitement.... (ew) I made a really good cake. It was a guiness chocolate cake (google the recipe... now!) Daniel teared up it was so good. :) Mom's really good frosting recipe too. It was really good to bake something from scratch after getting back a test that I didn't do so hot on (I already told you about this one momma, don't worry there aren't multiple) Luckily it's only about 15% of my grade and the next text will be much better. Waa wahh..
I'm editing Kaelee and Greg's engagement photos that I took on Sunday. It rained on us, but they are too cute for that pesky rain to get in the way. I'll upload some to my site (www.shannondawnphotography.com) soon!! :)
I can't wait to drink coffee tomorrow.
